Could not get a copy of title !
My car was paid off 7 years ago. I couldnt find a title.
Not sure if I ever had one. When I went to get a copy from title sevices, they notified me that Wachovia is holding on to the Release of the lien!!! So I called Wachovia and they told me they will send a copy. I asked why did they hold on to it?
they said it was my job to go update the title when I recieve it!!! what? I dont get that. I have bought many cars and sold them.
this does not seem to be a problem that I may have caused. :(
Wells Fargo Dealer Services has the poorest customer service!!!!!!!!!!
I just spent almost 2 hrs, 2 hrs !!!!! with Dealer Services trying to simply change my auto-payment to the latter part of each month.
What a NIGHTMARE !!!!!! I also found out, and didn't realize, that there is a late payment fee of $15.00 that hasn't been paid that I was unaware of. My e-statement says my next payment due is $360.06. I asked why as was told the $360.06 is what my LAST payment of my loan will be.
I asked why was I not informed I had a late payment charge still active from 2011 and they could not tell me why. My regular payment is $333.36. If you add $15.00 to that, the total is $348.36, not $360.06 that they say the payment will be to tack on the $15.00 late fee. I asked why the discrepancy and they said they'd have to call another department as to why it didn't add up, but that that department was closed even though the website states their hours are from 5 am to 7 pm Pacific Time.
They told me I have to call back, ME, to get the answers!!!! Unbelievable! They are the ones who can't answer MY questions and one would assume THEY would find the answers to my questions and CALL ME back, not me having to call them. What a terrible, looooooong, *** experience I had.
Talk about one of the poorest customer service experiences I've ever had!!!! I asked if could have the email address to Corporate to complain about my experience and was given officeofthepresidentdealer@***.com Im almost afraid to go there. It may take a week to file a complaint!
What a nightmare Wells Fargo Dealer Services was!
Wachovia Dealer Services - Car Payments Review from Delta, Utah
This company is awful to go through! I paid my car off 2 months ago and was told I would have the title in 7 to 10 days.
Still no title! They keep telling me to wait a week and if I haven't seen anything than to call back. I keep calling back and I get told to wait another week. This company is not lenient at all if your a little late on your car payment due to losing your job, they will tack on a late fee to the point you will never be able to pay off your car.
So still waiting for the title as of today....if you have another company to choose from than go with them not Wells Fargo. Hope this helps someone in the long run!
Wachovia Dealer Services
My wife and I purchased an Audi A4 financed through WFS (Wachovia Dealer Services) and have always paid our monthly on time, never missed a payment.
In April 2012, we decided trade in our Audi for a Volkswagen CC and of course traded in our Audi to put towards the new car's finance agreement.
Wachovia Dealer Services dragged their feet in applying our final payment from Volkswagen Credit and as a result since April 2012 I have a missed payment on my credit report!
My wife and I have pleaded with WFS to update our credit report so that we can regain our credit score but to no avail.
Our APRs have increased for my credit cards and we estimated that this error has cost us ~$25k from a rise in our interest rates.
Beware of WFS!
Dealer Services
I have a car loan with Wachovia...all I can say is I can't WAIT till it's paid off and will NEVER deal with them again. They are nasty on the phone even when they screw up.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE....
Would I have known this is how I would be treated, I would have purchased another Toyota, Chevy or Ford...NEVER AGAIN...Do yourself a favor and stay away from Wachovia / WV dealer services. I am VERY sorry I purchased this car from them, and once paid off I will ditch it and purchase something new from one of the brands listed above.
Wells Fargo Dealer Services Contact Info for the President's Office
Please share out to as many people as possible, I want to stop someone from making my mistake and try to help if they have. I bought a truck and took out a loan from WELLS FARGO DEALER SERVICES three years ago.
At this time they have my truck because of a missed payment six months ago that I was never informed of and I need to pay off my whole balance of $9,500.00 to get it back they will not accept the missed payment of $250.00. This is a situation of the big bank who does not care one bit about the people they hurt. However I have something they don't want others to have and I am more than happy to share, it took a week and several managers to finally reach the OFFICE OF THE COMPANY PRESIDENT here is the contact information in case you or anyone else ever has a problem.
There is not a thing I can do to get my truck back but if you wanna do a girl a favor and let big business know we're sick of it give a call or drop an email and tell them Cindy said Hi! Phone: 1-87*-250-****, email: officeofthepresident.dealer@***.com, address PO Box 168071, Irving TX 75016.
ALERT ALERT ALERT
If you have had a loan with Wachovia and Wells Fargo took it over and there was a bk involved you may not ever see title to it! three years they have known and accepted our payment and oh by the way they do not do affirmations and down to the last minute not one notice not one call because apparently if you file BK you are *** to them and they will not let you make up the pmts you are "supposedly past due" no way we want all money now or no car, see what bailing the banks out did for us!
Harassing calls
I ge call repeatedly from this company. 3-4 per day.
When I answer the phone, no one is on the other end or they hang up on me. I do not have a loan with this company and never will. I am on a no-call list but that doesn't seem to matter. I have tried to call the 800 number, but it says it is out of service.
Come on.
I am going to report this number to the government and will explain to them how I have been harrassed with their phone calls (several each day).
How to get a hold of Wells Fargo Dealer Services
I financed my car through WFDS in 2008, paid it off in 2009. This year I wanted to sell it and found out that car title has my name misspelled ....
not just one letter or two, but a big time misspelled. Calling 800-289-**** didn't do anything, because you can't get through automated services unless you want to finance new purchase with them or have an existing account, which was closed 3 years ago due to the loan paid in full. But if you keep pushing # or/and 0 it will take you to the operator.
Good luck! I wasn't waiting and conversation with them went well.
Terrible Customer Service
In my job we deal with many banks, finance companies and credit unions across the country. Dealing with Wells Fargo Dealer Service is always a hassle.
Their customer service is the worst. First after holding to speak to a representative you get placed on an immediate hold by a live person. When they do come back on the line when they feel like actually working they do not introduce themselves and are incredibly rude. When trying to get assistance from them on an account, in the middle of speaking with them they will place you on hold for no reason at all again.
In a lot of cases you just get hung up on. When trying to call back and speak to a supervisor you're told that no supervisor is available. Of course they're not. This company has completely rude and ignorant people working for them that have no concept of what good customer service is.
I wouldn't recommend using them to even my worst enemies. The people that I have spoken to at this company sound like they're good candidates to be on Maury Povich for a myriad of subjects ranging from: which one of these five men are my child's father to my father is also my uncle.
Bottom line: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
Whachovia is banking on you defaulting.
I had been making payments for 6 years on my car financed through Wachovia then lost my job. This nasty company and their rude workers would cut me no slack.
After falling behind a month they would not take a payment and wanted the balance which is $2,000.00. WHAT PART of I AM UNEMPLOYED DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? Everyone else including my mortgage company have bent over backwards to work with me. The bottom line is Wachovia can make more money by taking my car and selling it again to someone else.
Today they showed up at my house with a tow truck. THIS IS TRUE. MMM but I wasn't there. They even go to your neighbors and offer them money to call them when the car is there.
I will never purchase a car again from this company.
You end up paying double and get treated like some low life if you are late. Only in America.
Wachovia
Well Fargo Dealer Services...harrassment
On 8/18/11 I was rear-ended on the freeway and taken from the scene to the hospital for enjuries that occured in the accident.I was placed on pain medication and advised to take time off from work.I complied. On 30 days later i get a call from WFDS demanding that I make a payment immediately.I explained my situation and they stated 'when can you make a payment"? I reponded I'will make a payment no later then 10/18".She then asked what shop my car was in and I told her where my car was. The very next day i got a call from insurene compny wanting to go ispect the car so i told them the phone number of the shop.Shortly after that phone call the insurence co called back and informed me my car had been repoed.
Today 11/1 5/11 I get a call from WFDS demanding 9,000 dollars and stating they had sold my car at an auction for 8,000 and I owe 9,000 storage fee.And I am at my witts end with these people. Not once did they even have the decentcy to ask if i was okay.

I just had the same problem as this person did. Plan upgrading my wife car.
Her current car has been paid off for years.
Their records reflect the car was paid off but it take 3 business days for them to send me a letter to release the title. I have had lien on previous cars and the title was sent to me, but not these people.
Now I will probably miss out on a sweet deal of a car because I can't trade my car in until I get the title.
