I called 800.289.8004. Got Wells Fargo Dealer Services which is also Wachovia Desler Services.
Followed recorded prompts which got me nowhere. Followed a suggestion I read to continually press #0#0 until I was transfered to a rep. Explained I need a letter as proof of release of lien. She transfered to an acct agent (but first gave me the direct number should I get disconnected!) The account manager took my info and processed my request.
Told me it would take two business days to processed.
I expect to have the letter within a week. Service was very helpful and friendly!

Please do not take a loan from wells fargo dealer services. My daughter is asthmatic.
They picked up my car for a missed payment 4 days now i have paid my all my balance due on the same day they took my car. They took my money out of my a/c on the third day which was a sunday. Their repo service is all the way in long island. I live in westchester.
I was on the phone trying to get a hold of someone on monday to find out if my release papers has been sent over. I waited 2 hours on the phone no one picked up. I call back no one picked up again for another hour. So i decided to go to the bank.
They got a hold of someone which told the banker rep. It will take two business days for my car to be released. This is the third business day my papers has not been released. I am right at this minute on the phone holding since 9am it is now 9:45am still holding.
I need my car because i have a sick child. I also went to long island hoping that they would have released my car. No such luck. Not only that, but the agent on the phone from wells fargo dealers was very very rude.
This is my 3rd missing work losing money. I will never do business and will never recommend anyone to do business with wells fargo again
Release of Lien Letter
I used feature to call from my computer and the call quality was poor, possibly due to my computer speakers. I need a release of lien letter for account 912002**** for Helen Hurt.
The car has been totaled and although the car has a zero balance, Wachovia is still on the title. Can you please email the letter to me at helen.r.hurt@***.com. Let me know if I will need to visit a Wells Fargo Branch to get the letter. I need the letter as soon as possible, the insurance company will not release my check until this issue is resolved.
The Toyota Camry was financed in 2002. Please contact me via email asap if you need additional information.

Wachovia Dealer Services - Auto Loan Review from New Port Richey, Florida
My car was totaled in an accident and my vehicle was released from the lean and payment was made to Wells Fargo. I did not have Gap Insurance so to, make up the driffernce of the loan and what the car was worth once it was released.
I was advised to call the dealership where I had the warrenty on the car cancled. I did and I was refunded the unused portion of the warrenty however the check was made out to ME AND Wells Fargo. Basiclly the check was useless to me becauae it was written out as AND. My intension from the begining was to send them the check anyway.
It is just the point that I signed a loan and it is up to me to keep my end of the loan. This is a measure used by the dealership and the lenders to insure that the loan company gets any and all refunds. If lets later on you decide to cancel the maintence warrenty (it is really useless) you won't get the refund. Why when you are the one making the paynents on the loan?
As s note the only good used car warrenty is the one that coverss the whole car for one year. To continue, so I send them the check for it to be applied to my loan and reduce the amount owed as one of my monthly car payment. I agreed to pay $278.09 monthly and I was doing this faithly and never late and some times even early. Now mind you I just sent them a check $1,600.00 +.
I was wrong. I received a bill statement for the amount of $399.00 due that month. I was lost. They called me and I was advised that I was behind in my car payments.
I replied by saying I sent you a check for $1,600 +. They replied that the check I sent was my warrenty refund and not a payment. Now perhaps I may be wrong but a check of $1,600 +, reguardless where it came from is a car payment. In hind sight I sould have held on to the check untill my account went down to the amount of the check.
Now think about this the balanced owed on a loan of $10,000.00 was $399.00 and I could not pay that amount in full that month. Through all this confusion and in the intrum I sent $150.00 towards the payment as well as another payment of 128.09 = to 278.09 to my comittment that I signed. During this period of time I recieved 6 phone call from this company in the matter of two month demanding there $399.00. At the same time I also received two statement in the mail.
Now on top of that I was told my payment was still over due. My point is this, if you purchase a use car reguardless who the lender is buy Gap Insurance and presume nothing with this company. Also don't buy a maintence warranty for used car unless it covers the car from front to rear for a fulll year.
This company is nothing but money oriented as it is with Well Forgo.
They are their enforceer. They can care less what your situation is. They will be all over you like yesterday when it comes money owed. I just can see what my credit score will be in two months.
No problem I am a senior on a fixed income. This is the last car I will buy on credit.
By the way I received a call yesterday asking for the $120.00 owed to close the loan, and that my payment is still over due. Payment is not due till the 23rd of this month.
Bank Robbers
I bought a Hynduai Elantra From CarMax and Wells Fargo Dealer Service were the Finance Company for the car. This car was for my at the time teenage daughter to get back and forth from school with her and her little brother. Well, I made all the payments and even doubled up on payments paying the car off two year early, without notice I have been sent to collections and they added insurance onto the car that already had insurance on it infact by 21st Century and Mercury, I overlaped the insurance just so this would not happen AGAIN, for the fourth time. The insurance was $270.59 that they added without notice, I only found out by calling in to make the payoff on the car of $700.00 so needless to say I'm not paying that amount of the insurance and I'm going to report them as well. Everytime I have changed insurance companies Wells Fargo has charged me insurance without notice and I know that all the insurance companies can not be at fault with not report to them that the car is covered.
I well never again buy anything from Wells Fargo nor will anyone in my family due to there business practice whice is at the very least shady.

Car loan
I have two car loans with WDS car loan #1 was due on July 24th before it would be 30 days pass due. Paymen was made on 22 July but erroneously posted to car loan #2, I wasnt aware of this until I started getting collection call told caller payment had been made give them conf# they said ok give it a few days which I did.
Several days later I received another collection call very hateful this time, tried to explain but guy told me it was my credit score and hung up. About a week later went to make payment on car loan#2 the amount due on the automated phone system was exactly $234.00 less than the actual amount due, which was exactly the amount of car loan 1. Bells went off called WDS they found the error but posted it on the 25 of July which made me 31 days pass due, which in turn made my credit score take a 50 point drop. After many phone calls finally resorted to the office of the president of Wachovia after about 2 weeks they agreed to send correction to credit bureaus and send me a hard copy of the correction letter.
It is now the 13th of Sept and I haven't got the copy.
My big concern is it takes 1 days for them to ruin your credit but 56 days and counting and the correction still hasn't been made. This is totally unacceptable!

Statement of Lien Satisfaction. Missing Title.
Called 1-80*-289-****. I had to keep pressing # or * to get to the operator. Eventually I got transferred to Titles. From the time I started dialing to the time I ended the call- 15 minutes. From the initial- I got ahold of an operator, transferred to "Titles'; I gave the young lady my info (SS#) and address. Apparently they did send me my title, which I cannot find. She stated that they'd send a Statement of Lien Satisfaction within 2-3 business days.
Fingers crossed. Eighty one words.
yeah I know, I'm not so pissed now. I'll have to wait and see if they keep their word.

Verified Reviewer |Wachovia repair insurance has declined to repair
We have a Toyota Highlander 2010. The tailgate is defective and out of warrantee.
The power tailgate operator has popped out of the tailgate and the fitting in the tailgate is destroyed and can't be repaired. My body shop called the policy repair approval number and they declined to repair my vehicle. Application contract number is CA58-901**** The repair requires the complete replacement of the tailgate with accompanying painting and labor. The estimate is over $5000.
I feel like I've been left out in the cold. Hope someone has suggestions on how to proceed.
In the meantime, I'm looking for another car and don't lant to buy any repair insurance if I can't collect when I have a coaim.
